Donate life design

For this proyect we were asked to come up with a slogan for Donate Life. The only requirement was that we had to include the words organ and tissue donation somewhere. In class we learned about Donate Life and we saw examples of other people's work. From that each one of us came up with an idea for our design. We sketched it out first then started drawing it. For my drawing I only used color pencils, graphite and black marker because those are materials that we've previosly learned how to use in class and we've learnt how to shade with color pencils and that's what I wanted to do with the design.

I decided that my theme was going to be recycling because my family is really into that stuff and if you think about it when you donate an organ you're recycling yourself in a way. So I based my drawing on the slogan. I think I could have added more to it, maybe drawing an organ or something but I based it on the slogan and drew the recycling arrows to show that recycling is a cycle that keeps on going. My drawing is specially focused on the donation of the dead or at a terminal stage, where someone might not need them anymore but it could save someone else's life. Giving something of yours which is used but instead of just dying with your body keep it living on someone else.
