What Next For Football?

After the football season, three activities I want to do to stay active in the off-season and refine my skills are cycling, weight-lifting, and jogging. These are all easily accessible and will target my muscular endurance, strength, and increase my speed and flexibility. All of these activities can be done alone or with a team to make it more enjoyable. All of these activities will help me to become a better football player for the upcoming season. I will gain muscular endurance by riding over hills and long distances with my bike, I will gain strength through weight-lifting, and I will become better conditioned from jogging and running

I want to do cycling over the off-season for a variety of reasons. First of all, because it is fun to plan your route and travel around different cities and also because it is a great way to stay in shape and build endurance in your muscles. The route I like to do is from North Novato near San Marin headed to Marinwood and San Rafael. This bike-ride can be about two to three hours and can be over 20 miles depending on the route you take. I have fun planning routes around landmarks and making a goal to ride my bike to different areas around Marin County. Some skills that transfer to this from football are muscular endurance to be able to ride for long times and take short breaks to go as far and quick as possible, and muscular strength, to make sure I can get up hills and obstacles I can find along my route.

Another activity I want to continue after football is weightlifting to gain muscle. This is a good activity to stay healthy even on its own and will increase my strength. This activity is accessible because it is easy to find weights; whether that be dumbbells, kettle bells, barbells and gym machines, and other things around the house. I can do this activity alone or with friends and this will help with football and with general strength. Skills that will transfer from football to weightlifting will be muscular strength especially upper body strength.

I also want to do a form of running or jogging over the off-season and throughout the year. This is a good activity to stay in shape and this will increase my speed, agility, and my muscular endurance. This is easily accessible since I can run anywhere and I can do it on my own or with a group of friends. Skills that will transfer from football to this is speed and endurance.

In conclusion I want to use this time off to refine my skills for football, to do this I will cycle, weight lift, and jog around Novato. This will help me to get better at football and have a fun time.

What Next For Wrestling?

Cycling, weightlifting, and football are three hobbies I want to do after the wrestling season to keep fit in the off-season and develop my abilities. These are all easily accessable exercises that will improve my muscle endurance, strength, speed, and flexibility. To make it more engaging, all of these activities can be done alone or in a group. All of these activities will help me improve my football skills in anticipation of the next season. I'll build physical endurance by riding my bike over hills and long distances, acquire strength by lifting weights, and improve my coordination and conditioning with football.

For a variety of reasons, I want to cycle during the off-season. For starters, planning your route and traveling around different places is a lot of fun, and it's also an excellent way to remain in shape and increase muscle endurance. I especially like biking off-road on paths since they are fun to explore. My favorite route starts in . Depending on the area you choose, this bike ride can last two to three hours and traverse more than 20 kilometers. It's a lot of fun for me to create routes around landmarks and set a goal to ride my bike to different parts of Marin County. Muscular endurance to be able to ride for an extended period of time is one skill that transfers from wrestling to this sport. This mimics the six minutes a wrestling match can span in which I need to constantly be on my A-game.

Another activity I want to continue after wrestling is weightlifting to gain muscle and build muscular endurance. This is a good activity to stay healthy even on its own and will increase my strength. This activity is accessible because it is easy to find weights; whether that be dumbbells, kettle bells, barbells and gym machines, and other things around the house. I can do this activity alone or with friends and this will help with wrestling and with general strength. Skills that will transfer from wrestling to weightlifting will be muscular strength, especially upper body strength built from throwing my competitors or lifting my and their weight in matches.

I also am going to do football during the wrestling off-season. This helps with my double-leg shot since it is a lot like tackling in football. This will also help my hand-fighting abilities as linemen have to wrestle through each other every play to gain ground to the ball.

To conclude, I want to use this time off to refine my skills for wrestling next season. To do this I will cycle, weight lift religiously, and continue my dedication to football. This will all help me become a better wrestler and overall be a better athlete.
