Health Components of Fitness

  • We learned about our target heart rate while resting and working out.

  • We also learned about twitch fibers in muscles, body composition, muscular and cardiovascular endurance, strength, and flexibility.

  • During this project it was interesting to learn about heart rate and how it changes depending on physical activity, and that it can vary per individual. I also learned about fast and slow twitch muscle fibers and how they differ. This required critical thinking to make assumptions of which muscles contain which fibers based on their job.

  • What I could have done better was study more about muscular and cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, body composition, and flexibility to learn more about these concepts.
