VIS Primary Students (Gr 5) write, film and edit an episode of the VIS News each week. This episode is seen in all of the Primary Classrooms. Secondary students who volunteer will have the opportunity to mentor younger students as they learn to edit the different news segments after school on Thursdays. Additionally, students will be responsible for editing the news segments together to create a final news episode for each week. The majority of filming will be done during Primary Lunch on Mondays (11:45-12:45), so if you happen to be available during that time and would like to assist then as well, that is an option.

Besides this theoretical knowledge, the focus is on reflecting on these various topics, as well as everyday life, especially media. It is a place to learn new things and explore new ideas. The Philosophy Club encourages students to welcome all ideas and support them in the development of their self-confidence in terms of their own thinking and speaking. In the first semester we start with an overview of different areas within philosophy and the book and film series "Lord of the Rings". Over the course of the year students will also have the opportunity to propose topics themselves.
