These experiences will help you further develop certain skills such as: interpersonal skills, public speaking, leadership, time-management, and teamwork.
2. Preparing for the selection process
The selection process will sometimes require an interview and a resume and cover letter.
3. Networking opportunities
These experiences often times will require interacting with professionals and organisations, which in turn, provides great opportunities to continue developing interpersonal and communication skills.

These experiences are incredibly valuable as you will have the possibility of exploring different professional fields, gain experience and further develop your skillset. Additionally, this will give you the opportunity to enhance your CV and to network with different professionals and organisations.
Responsibilities of the students
Students have the following responsibilities:
• Communicating their plans and progress with their parents or guardians.
• Being proactive when looking for possible professional experiences.
• It is vital to make sure you have insurance coverage.
• Networking with organisations and professionals when they are carrying out their professional experience in person or virtually.
• Networking with the marketing department at our school to update them about their experiences.
• Remembering that they are representing the school and that they should ensure that you continue developing the IB student profile.
To apply to certain professional experiences you might be asked to provide:
1) your CV / Resume
2) a cover letter
3) You might also be called in for an interview
4) Your character traits and academic performance are an important element on being successful in your application process, and successful during the professional experiences.
The options below are geared towards students to make use of their time (specially during the summer months) and some are conducted completely online. Some are free of charge while others are paid for.
