The Admission tests/assessments are a part of the application process that Oxford and Cambridge both use.
These are designed to supplement the information in your application, and provide an assessment of relevant skills and, where appropriate, your levels of knowledge and understanding for the course applied for. These tests/assessments are designed to be really quite challenging so you should not be surprised by that.
In terms of how you prepare for these tests/assessments:
You should make sure that you register on time.
Find a test centre: VIS is not a test centre for every exam and so you should look into which are the local centres (please bear in mind thet if you need to sit for two assessments on the same day, that not all centers can administer two of these tests on the same day).
You can also look on our websites and find the syllabus to give you a bit more information about what topics are likely to come up in that assessment.
There are some practice papers on these universities websites you can use to practice as well. We would recommend, if possible, you do these under timed conditions because these are challenging assessments and the time you will have to answer each question will be limited.
