"The Place with a Lot of Memories"
Education High School (EHS) or Laboratory School is an school that conduct the lesson from grade 7 until 10. It is independent from UST Junior High School. The location of EHS is at Albertus Magnus Building, University of Santo Tomas.
EHS is the place for pre-service teacher develop their pedagogical skill. There is no real teacher in EHS except for the missing subject in Education Department at EHS. The reason why EHS conducted is to become a junior high school for students that have financial problem and cannot afford regular junior high school. EHS giving opportunity for students to study more in high school level and improving their education quality.
The funds that used there is collected from marginal community. It becomes the source of operational funds of EHS. That's include the teacher salary there.
EHS having 8 classes in total from grade 7 until 10. Each grade having two section, with 45 students for one section. The each section named based on Thomasian Core Values. The section in EHS are in the following list:

The Education High School seeks to evolve into one of the leading Catholic secondary institutions of learning in the country by strengthening and revitalizing the curriculum, faculty updating and networking with other institutions in the educational community.

Education High School (EHS) has unique teaching system that mostly the teacher here is pre-service teacher (PST) from Education Department, except for the major that is not available at UST. EHS called by Laboratory School because this is the place for the pre-service teacher practicing to be great teacher. In EHS, pre-service teacher get real experience of becoming teacher.
The lesson based on the K to 12 Curriculum for grade 8, 9, and 10, and Matatag Curriculum for grade 7. The learning model that usually being used in this school is learning cycle 5E, but they also use another model for variant. According to the lesson plan, the learning is integrated with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Thomasian Core Values (Competence, Commitment, and Compassion), and Thomasian Graduated Attributes SEAL.
The lesson started at 8 AM but the teacher stay from 7 AM to prepare the lesson on the class. The lesson begin and ended with praying. After starting the lesson, the teacher will recall their previous material and give them motivation. Then, the lesson will be started.
Supervising Teacher
Besides the PSTs, there are the supervising teacher that come from the College of Education. They are actually the lecturer of Education College that take care of the PSTs. Their job is to evaluating the lesson plan, learning activities in class, and others. They giving feedback and suggestions before the lesson plan implemented.
The supervising teacher for science is Asst. Prof. Leonila Wilhelmina N. Baltazar, MBioEd, called by Ma'am Baltazar. She is also the homeroom teacher for Grade 7 - Patriotism, the class where I deployed. She is the one that give the science PSTs the suggestions before the learning, reviewing the lesson plan, giving feedback, and others. She is also responsible for grading and evaluating the SEA-Teacher delegates for science major.
I become the proctor
I scan the students answer
In the EHS, one year separated into 4 quarter. There is an examination between each quarter to check the students' understanding. The examination is offline examination with multiple choice method that consists of 50 questions. The time for exam is one hour per subject.
There is one proctor that watch and keeping the eye in front of the students Before the exam, the proctor will check the attendance of the students. The proctor need to keep the class conducive during the exam. After the exam, the proctor will checking the completeness of students' answers and brought it to the office.
The students' answer will checked by the PST with application named ZipGrade that will correcting the students answer and managing it automatically. After the answer recorded, the PST need to double check it and giving the grade. At the end of the process, the PST will recapping the students' grade for the students; report.
