BSc. (Hons) Construction Management is designed to prepare the candidates for a successful career in construction management. It is a comprehensive programme which incorporates various aspects of construction management with emphasis on process, analysis and detailed understanding of theories and methods applied in construction and development.
BSc. (Hons) Construction Management’s Programme Educational Objectives (PEO) believes all individual can excel, and the program aims to nurture an ethical, dynamic and competitive construction project practitioners in supporting the university's vision to become a premier university of academic excellence and the national aspiration of transforming the construction industry. It is the focus of the programme to make our graduates employable as soon as they graduate. As such, the curriculum is designed to inculcate as much practicality and real-life simulation.
Students who earn a Bachelor's degree in construction management have excellent job prospects. The programme prepares students for a variety of occupations in the design and management of construction projects. Our graduates usually progress to management positions in construction companies, where they are in charge of all aspects of project management. The transferable skills acquired during the degree programme allow graduates to perform in a wide range of activities outside of construction management to complement the sector. With the growing urban population, construction management graduates should have plenty of prospects over the next years. Project managers, site managers, construction managers, project co-ordinators, and development managers are all positions that graduates of the Construction Management degree are in high demand for.
