What is Measurement and Estimating of Building Works ?

This course is designed to provide a through understanding of the theory and practice in the measurement of construction works for precast concrete structures, demolition and alteration, steel structures work, timber structures, block work systems, tender evaluation and procedures with reference to the standard method of measurement of buildings works (SMM). Students will be guided on the preparation of schedules and draft bills of the measured. students will further be taught to the preparation of specification clauses for materials and workmanship of the measured works.
