Frequently Asked Questions

1. To request a device for virtual learning, you will need to have your parent/guardian to contact the principal by email at nick.rowe@tdsb.on.ca or by phone at (416) 393-8240.

2. Once they have it ready, they can otherwise send it to you or you have to pick them up.

1. To request for internet access, you’d have to go into your Settings > Network.

2. Go to “Add Connection” > “Add Wi-Fi…”.

3. Put in your SSID code and Security.

4. Click “Connect”.

1. To find out what your teacher’s email is, you can otherwise ask them in a zoom call or you can find them in the course outline which is in Content.

2. Click on the Messages icon then click on “Email”.

3. Once you’re there, click on “Compose”.

4. Enter your teacher’s email and a subject (eg. Homework Help or Question). Then enter what your question/problem is.

5. After you’re done, click “Send” and wait for your teacher to respond to you.

3. Go up to the search bar then copy and paste your teacher’s email.

4. Click on the email that’s beside the message symbol then write the Subject (eg. Homework Help or Question) and what you need help with.

5. After you’re done, click “Send” and wait for your teacher to respond to you.

You can contact your guidance counselor by asking your teacher, checking your Brightspace homepage or in Google Classroom.

Copy and paste the email address of the guidance counselor based on your last name and send them an email asking your question or whether you can book an appointment. 

1. In your brightspace shell, go to the “Discussions” icon.

2. Go into your discussion thread that your teacher assigned to do.

3. Click on “Start a New Thread”.

4. Title the subject of your thread then type (You can add attachments too if your assignment requires it).

5. Once you’re done, click on “Post”.
