About Me
Hello! My name is Hannah Ratner, and I am a senior at Andover High School in the Merrimack Valley of Massachusetts. Upon graduation in 2024, I hope to pursue a degree in International Business and Finance.
I have dual citizenship in both the United States and Germany due to the fact that my mother moved to the US to be an au pair when she was in her early 20s. Of course, my mother has made fluency in German a requisite for my sister and me.
Growing up, I experienced the contrast of American and German cultures and the different traditions that I believe have shaped me into the woman I am today. This exposure has motivated me to engage in global learning through immersive travel, global service, and language study.
The Andover High School Global Pathways Program is a series of experiences for students and faculty to thrive as global citizen-scholars, in our complex, dynamic, and diverse global society. Students are guided by faculty advisors as they travel their global path through world language study, immersive travel, service learning, a Global Research Project, global course work and other experiences that lead toward the Endorsement for Global Engagement.
