The APS Global Pathways Scholars (GPS) Endorsement Program is a three-year experience for students and faculty to thrive as global citizen-scholars in our complex, dynamic, and diverse global society. GPS students are guided by faculty advisors as they travel their global path through world language study, immersive experience, service learning, a Capstone research project, course work and other experiences that lead toward the Endorsement for Global Engagement.

What is the "Pathway" of a Global Scholar?
This program is open to all AHS students, and students are eligible to join during their freshman spring or sophomore fall semester. During the onboarding process, students create their Global Portfolio. Throughout the year, Global Scholars will participate in Enrichment activities during H blocks or after school. Scholars will also reflect on their Language Coursework, Immersive Experience and Service throughout high school. During senior year, Scholars will complete their Capstone Research and earn their Endorsement for Global Engagement.

Over the course of sophomore, junior, and senior years, students will be guided through and complete the five Global requirements: Coursework, Service, Immersive Experience, Enrichment, and Research.

Seniors who fulfill the requirements will be distinguished by a seal of endorsement on their high school transcript and graduation diploma as well as an honor cord for the graduation ceremony.
