Throughout making my Failure resume, I was able to reflect on some of my flaws. Although a lot of them are very embarrassing, I know that looking back at the past can help you prevent making similar mistakes in the future. It was also interesting to see all the other types of failures that other people had. I even found out that I was some similar failures to my classmates.
While presenting this project, a few things went well. I felt as though I knew my part of the presentation and was able to say everything without looking at the slideshow presentation. Another thing that went well was that we had very solid slides that showed a clear timeline and were all purposeful.
In my next presentation, I want to work on my delivery of the information I was saying. I felt that I often blanked out or stuttered while I was speaking. Being more prepared and practicing could also help me mprove in my next presentation.
Summary
My moth story was about a trip I went on with my family to Africa. One of the places we stayed at was along the Ewaso Nyiro River in Kenya. While there, we went on a hike with the other family's staying there. On the hike, we got charged at my a mother elephant who was trying to protect her baby. My dad got really scared and wanted to run away, but everyone else remained calm. The elephant was scared off by the guides that walked with us to keep us safe, and everything ended up being okay. However, it was still a really scary experience, and one that I will never forget.
What do you think you did well? What would you tweak? What is your overall take away from this presentation?
The presentation went well, and I delivered the main parts of my story to the audience in a timely manner. If I could change something, I would try to elaborate on more parts of the story because I had more time at the end of the presentation. My overall takeaway from this presentation is that it's a lot less scary to get up and tell a personal story than to present a PowerPoint project.
