This is a picture of the Hagia Sophia Mosque, where my family and I had to opportunity of entering. We had to cover our legs, arms, and head, out of respect. The inside of the mosque was absolutely amazing and the designs on the walls and the ceiling were very intricate.
Here, we were walking through Adalar, an archipelago in Turkey that part of the Princes' Islands. The boat ride to the island was very relaxing. We walked and biked around the area, admiring the beautiful buildings and souvenir shops. At one of the shops, my sister and I got cute handmade floral bracelets. I also got a huge ice cream cone that what a mini ice cream cone on top of it.
Here is a photo of the entrance to the Topkapi Palace Museum. Inside the museum were different buildings, and one of them held the treasury of the Topkapi Palace. We saw lots of different jewelry and the old belongings of Ottoman Sultans.
This is the Bosporus straight, a waterway that connects the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmar. This straight is known as the narrowest used for navigation in the world. This waterway also separates the European (Thrace) and Asian (Anatolia) parts of Turkey. We had the opportunity of going to both sides and witnessed how the different the environments were.
