Music is one of the most expressive and creative subjects available to study at BTEC. Music is a practical subject where you will have multiple opportunities to develop your musical creativity through the core activities of performing, composing and improvising.
Listening to an increasingly wide musical repertoire will give you a greater understanding of music from many different genres and cultures throughout history, allowing you to understand the importance of music in people's lives globally.
You do not need to play an instrument to be able to choose BTEC Music!
Students choosing the course are expected to attend either Rock School (Monday) or Vocalize (Friday) after-school.
The subject content includes both practical and theoretical lessons . There is no written exam.
