The digital sector is a major source of employment in the UK with 90,000 jobs being advertised weekly in 2020. Digital Skills span all industries, employing over 2.93 million people, and almost all jobs in the UK today require employees to have a good level of digital literacy, putting it increasingly on a par with English and maths skills.
The BTEC Tech Award in Digital Information Technology provides a broad introduction to several aspect of 'digital' - from interface design to data management and IT systems. It could be bringing something new to the appearance of a program, process or application or developing and improving its function – creativity is very important.
