Leader: We Adore You, O Christ, and we praise You,
All: Because by Your Holy Cross You have redeemed the world.
In this Station, Jesus was nailed to the Cross with two other criminals next to Him. He was alive for around three hours while He was on the Cross. In all of His excruciating pain, Jesus asked God to forgive them. The soldiers also dishonored Him by gambling to see who would keep his garments. Jesus had done nothing wrong and yet they had killed Him in a very disrespectful way.
We can be like Jesus in this Station by persevering through hard things. We can remember what Jesus went through for the few hours He was alive on the Cross.
Let us pray,Â
Dear Jesus, You have sacrificed so much for us. We ask that You help us to be like You. We offer You this prayer to follow in your footsteps and like You, take up our own cross.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Amen.
