Leader: We Adore You, O Christ, and we praise You,

All: Because by Your Holy Cross You have redeemed the world.

Veronica saw Jesus suffering and she wanted to help Him. She took off her veil to wipe His bloody face. After she wiped His face, His image appeared on the veil. Jesus was suffering, so Veronica comforted Him. 

How can we help others like Veronica helped Jesus? 

Let us pray,

Dear Jesus, lead us to know and love you like Veronica did. As we walk through this Lenten season, help us to be kind to others. If we see someone hurt or struggling, we can comfort them.

We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Amen.
