What it looks like
This will be a list of resources, for each item on the list you will have described how you intend to use or why you need it. You need to talk about deadlines and time management. Setting dates for expected completion of different parts of the project.
for example
For my fraction animation project I will need:
- Script from my client, this is to ensure that my animation follows how the teacher wants to teach the topic. This will mean that my end user gets the corrects information and is not misled.
- Storyboard, this will need to match the script and will help my client see how the animation and the narration will work together.
- Adobe Animate - this is the software I will use to create the animation. It is a computer graphics software where I can utilise the motion tweening function, this means I can create the start of the shape and the end of the shape, the computer work the rest out for me. Saves a lot of time, better than frame by frame animation
- Audacity - this software will allow me to edit the narration, I will be able to slow the pace down if it is too fast, this will ensure that the end user is able to listen to the narration at a suitable speed to aid learning.
- mp3 portable voice recorder - this is a portable device that will enable the teacher to record the narration, we can work from the storyboard. I can than transfer the file as an mp3 into audacity for editing. I can then add music and background sounds to make it fit the final animation.
- Graphics tablet - I used this in year 10 and found it much easier to draw with than a mouse. This should speed up the drawing and make it more accurate.
- skills - although I have used Adobe Animate in year 10, I will need to practise it if I am to create a professional outcome for my client and end user.
I have until 27th August to produce the final outcome. I am using agile project management to break the project down into manageable parts. The main breakdown is:
- proposal to be agreed with my client - March 11th
- Design concepts, script, storyboard and planning - April 30th
- Production of final outcom- August 27th
I intend to keep in touch with my client throughout the project to ensure that it comes in on time and the final outcome is satisfactory and my client is happy. There may be small changes needed as the outcome develops to ensure it is fit for purpose.
