For merit you need to explain what it is you have done to sort out the problem you found in testing, describing how this improves your outcome.
Merit - after testing my animation/game the background music is too loud and the sound effects are lost. This affects the user's experience, the player/audience does not get the feedback from the sound effect that informs what is happening. I have reduced the volume of the sound effect and increased the volume of the sound effect at the critical times. Thus improving the player/viewer experience.

Blog - throughout the development of your project you should be testing it to ensure that it works and to improve the outcome. Evidence this in your blog, remember not a diary.
Show your thinking, and problem solving skills. Take screenshots and explain how you have fixed or improved your outcome.
If you find errors or things that do not function as intended, take a screen shot and explain how you have overcome the problem.
Again not every step but some of the more challenging ones, you are trying to demonstrate that you are testing and solving problems in a logical order.
While you are creating your outcome you will debug, test and trial throughout the process to ensure that you outcome will function as intended. Do not wait until the outcome is completed to try it out.
