Legal implications, copyright

Copyright is important to consider because I need to be able to use the graphics freely within my game. Graphics created by other designers belong to them, I have no right to use them without consent, using them would be theft. (A)

My design addresses this by ensuring that the graphics I intend to use are either royalty free, have a creative commons license that allows reuse and modification or are created by me, in which case I own the copyright. However when creating graphics for my game I must be careful not just to copy someones elses ideas, the graphics I create should be unique. (M)
