research existing outcomes for design ideas (A)
The research may involve investigating the purpose of the outcome, the requirements of end users, aesthetic and functional characteristics of existing designs, and relevant implications.
Using your proposal idea as the starting point for your research, look at what is currently on the market that is similar to what it is your are thinking of creating.
Collect screenshots from similar outcomes and analyse them, what ideas can you take forward into your own designs. What elements are not good and you would not use in your own.
Select two or three examples from your research, take a screenshot.
using google slides or a google doc analyse the outcomes and annotate the screenshots
think about the elements of design, placement of objects, sound, interactivity, text and colour. There will be other elements that I have not listed.
Below are some video that will help explain how the design concept works in both gaming and animation. When you watch them think about what you have seen or what you are looking for in your research.
Create a Google Slide or Doc, paste screenshots or video of your research.
Describe the different design elements that are evident.
Explain how the elements of the game or animation function or not.
Discuss what ideas you can use and how they will benefit your end user.
