Welcome to level 1 Digital Technology.
Year 11 builds on that you have experienced in year 10 with some minor changes. The processes are the same and you will be focusing on the key competencies of managing self, relating to others, participating and contributing, thinking and problem solving.
Changes to this year
This year we will be developing key skills that will enable us to create interactive 3D media. The aim ; at year 12 we will be looking at creating digital media using Unity. In order to achieve this we will need to work on the foundation skills required; Programming using C# and Blender to create 3D elements.
There will be two projects that will
look at how we interact with technology; Human Computer Interface
Designing concepts that can be developed into a working prototype that will address a problem/opportunity
develop coding skills programming a simple game using c#
develop computer graphic skills using Blender
build a set of project management skills that will help you organise your work and meet deadlines
Create a proposal for a digital outcome - 3 credits (Internal)
Develop design ideas for a digital outcome for a specified purpose and audience - 3 credits (Internal)
Develop a digital media outcome - 4 credits (Internal)
Develop a computer program - 4 credits (internal)
The external requirements assessment for the course will be;
Demonstrate understanding of human computer understanding - 3 credits (External)
