The Proposal
For this part of the project we will need to create a proposal for what it is we intend to do, the opportunity or problem it will solve. For example:
Identify the need or opportunity.
What are you going to create?
Why are creating it? Who will benefit?
How will they use your outcome?
Sooooo many questions....where to begin.
Create a mindmap of ideas, present this to your group and ask them for feedback (note down this feedback or record the conversation and save the file to your drive). Identify some possible projects that would interest you. Ensure that you can answer the questions above. Once you have done this write the first paragraph of your proposal. Some examples are given below but they need a bit of work to make them suitable for the assessment.
What your initial paragraph might look like
It should be a short paragraph that describes the problem/issue you are going to address. Describes who the end-user is and who your client is. Explain briefly what you are going to create that is going to solve the problem.
For example....
Every year the Bright Awards competition happens. I have an opportunity to enter, with the hope of winning $3000 for my school and $1000 for myself. There are a number of categories and I intend to enter the graphic designer section. I will create a variety of game objects that could be used by game developers.
As an up-and-coming graphic designer, I would like to create a portfolio of objects or characters that I could post online and possibly generate income. The graphics would be aimed at teenagers as this is the growth market for the metaverse.
The metaverse is the future, I could create an avatar for myself that I could use online in a virtual environment. My avatar will represent me in online games. It will be modern and reflect my personality.
Step 1 completed well done.
You should have the following evidence saved in your google drive:
research evidence notes and screenshots
mindmap or list of possible ideas
evidence of feedback from your group
proposal document with first paragraph completed
