Where are your courses?
Starting Winter/Spring 2026, all Brightspace courses will be created automatically. Any course that is scheduled in Albert will appear in Brightspace one week after student registration for the term begins, according to the general NYU academic calendar.

- My Courses Widget (Homepage)
The My Courses widget is under the welcome banner on the homepage
Use the arrows at the top of the widget to select the semester

Click the waffle icon in the Minibar at the top of your screen, wherever you are in Brightspace.
A list will drop down displaying all of your courses
Pinned courses appear at the top of the list
Use the search bar to find a specific course

Pin your active courses to find them quickly
Hover over the course in the My Courses Widget and click the "..." button to pin it
To unpin a course, just click the pin icon

Notice that when you click on a course, the navbar and banner change. You're now on your course homepage! When you're in a course you will use the navbar to find your way around that specific course.
Main course site tools are displayed in the course navbar. Click "More Tools" to see further options.
The course navbar will be organized in the same way for all your courses in Brightspace.
On your course homepage there are also a range of widgets that display information specific to the course.

Hover over the welcome banner on your course homepage
Click the "..." button
Choose "Change image" or "Customize banner text"
You can either upload your own image or browse the Brightspace image library
To adjust your course information (start/end dates, student access to site)

Click "More Tools" on the navbar and select "All Course Tools"
Choose "Course Offering Information"
To "publish" your site choose the option to make it active
To return to your course homepage click on the name of your course at the top of the screen after saving your changes
