Interview Summary: Carol recalls the many close friendships she formed while at the university and the impacts these relationships had on her. Some of her favorite memories include sledding down the hill with lunch trays after a rare snow day at the university. As a member of the first class of women to graduate from the university, she remembers how strange it was at first to be stared at by her male peers in more public areas like the cafeteria. Carol loved the small town atmosphere that Austin provided and was surprised by how much the city has grown.
