Interview Summary: Karina grew up in Conroe, Texas and was a double major in Studio Art and English Writing and Rhetoric. She graduated in 2009 and remembers how caring many of her former professors were, including her mentor Mary Brantl. Karina was very involved in campus activities like choir and was the president of the rotary club on campus. After graduating, Karina earned her teaching certificate and became a teacher, but later went on to become a product manager for an online company. Karina has many fond memories of the events she took part in on campus, along with the numerous professors who had a meaningful impact on her during her time on the Hilltop.
