The St. Christopher Mid-Summer Festival is one of the oldest festivals in the State of Indiana and is the fourth largest annual event held in Speedway. Since July 10, 1941, our annual festival has been known as “The Festival That’s Tops in Food!” At St. Christopher’s, we take great pride in preparing right in our own kitchen nearly all the food served. During our three day event, we serve over two tons of our famous hand-battered fish, representing about 15,000 fish sandwiches. Our made-from-scratch pork barbecue and coney sauce are made from recipes dating back to the 1940’s. In addition to the food that is served, we offer a wide variety of amusement rides, children’s games, bingo, live musical entertainment, and Monte Carlo. In order to continue our tradition of excellence, it takes the blending of more than 1,000 parish volunteers. Profits from the annual festival, along with that of Friday Night Bingo, are used to upgrade our facilities and grounds. The festival takes place during the month of July.
