In September of 2022, the Development Support team implemented a process in the Fast Central Repository (FCR) that changes the stage of SQRs that have remained idle for an extended period of time to ‘Reevaluate.’ Each line of business should review SQRs that are moved to Reevaluate as soon as possible.
A large backlog will require constant re-evaluation and grooming by business teams and development teams alike
Older SQRs that were opened more than 3 years ago are likely missing User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and UAT Test Cases/Steps
The larger the number of SQRs in ready for development, the easier it is to request resources -- but this requires balance
The first question we should consider is "Is this SQR still needed?"
Are you still experiencing the issue?
Is there a workaround solution?
Is the issue still a priority to be fixed?
Has the business process changed?
Has DRIVES changed where it is no longer required?
The next question should be "Does the SQR have all of the required information?"
User Story
Acceptance Criteria
UAT Test Cases / Steps
It is important to know that there are many unique scenarios that come out of your reevaluation. The scenarios below are the most common.
The problem was solved by another SQR or a Service Pack -- Work with your ISD BA to No Action the SQR
The problem is not that important and can wait to be fixed for a year -- Work with your ISD BA to No Action the SQR
The problem or issue can’t be recreated -- Work with your ISD BA to No Action the SQR
The issue occurred during implementation and is not as important as it once may have been -- Work with your ISD BA to No Action the SQR
The SQR is important but is missing one or more of the required criteria (User Story, Acceptance Criteria, UAT Test Cases/Test Steps) -- Work with your ISD BA to complete the refinement of the SQR and then get it staged to Ready for Development as soon as is reasonable
The SQR is important and has all of the required criteria -- Work with your ISD BA to move the SQR back to backlog, request a level of effort, and then get it staged to Ready for Development as soon as is reasonable
The SQR is System Maintenance that I do not understand -- Work with your ISD BA to determine the best path forward
If you have direct access to FCR, open the SQR and look in the upper right corner for the Contact name
If you have don’t have direct access to FCR, open the Counties Sprint Commit google sheet and check for the Contact name on that sheet to the right
