User Acceptance Testing is the process by which users of a software product get to test that changes and enhancements to a system are functioning as intended before they go into the production system for use by all system users.
This is a critical success factor in ensuring that system changes meet the stated requirements, which tie to business needs.
Any business user of the DRIVES system is eligible to become a User Acceptance Tester.
The SQRs & Programming section of the site has a subpage for Getting Involved with Development. The bottom of that page shows major initiatives that will be entering the User Acceptance Testing phase soon!
These Steps will allow a County User to become a DRIVES Tester. If you are a State Employee, please follow the directions located ----------> Here
There are a number of steps or activities that need to be completed to provide an appropriate level of training and access which is required to become a DRIVES User Acceptance Tester. See the steps below to guide you through the process:
Part 1 : DRIVES Lower Environment Access
Step 1 -- Access to DRIVES Lower Environments is required to participate in DRIVES Testing.
If you have ever requested or had access to CVS DRIVES APP and All Access CVT, please try to log in to the environments. You may still have access and do not realize it.
To access lower environment login links see the DRIVES Weblinks, under Internal Application.
If you are unable to access the DRIVES Weblinks page, be sure you are connected to the VPN or that you are logged into a State Network.
If you have access to the DRIVES Lower Environments, go to Part 2 : FAST Central Repository (FCR) Access.
If you have never requested access or are unable to log in, a CCR Access Request Form will be needed.
Step 2 -- Completion of training is required to gain access to DRIVES Lower Environments.
Your Supervisor will need to send an email to the LMS Administrator email, dor_dmv_county_lms@state.co.us, with the following information:
User’s full name
Request the required training to be added to the user’s LMS transcript for DRIVES Tester Access.
Step 3 -- The DMV LMS Administrator will respond within one business day.
Verify if training is required.
If required, the Tester curriculum will be added to LMS transcript.
If training has been completed within the last 6 months, the LMS Admin will notify the Supervisor that that training requirement has been completed so your Supervisor can proceed to Step 4.
Step 4 -- Your Supervisor must complete the CCR Access Request Form.
Page 1 must be completed and signed by the Supervisor
Page 2:
In the DRIVES Account box, there must be a County Security Administrator Signature.
In the DRIVES Additional Access box, Select the applicable request of “County Tester Access (NP)” or “County Tester Access (NP) Service Pack Only”
Step 5 -- Email the completed Access Form AND proof of training completion to the appropriate Authorized Approvers.
Click on Authorized Approvers List to see who needs to sign for the requested security groups.
For this process only, you can ignore the instructions at the top of page 1 to send the access form to OIT. The access will be managed internally by the ISD/DRIVES User Support Team.
Step 6 -- The Authorized Approver will review the request and respond within one business day. Once the Authorized Approver signs the Access Request Form, the Authorized Approver will:
Email the signed Access Form to the requester for their records.
Email the signed form to the ISD/DRIVES User Support Team (dor_drives_prod_traininghelp@state.co.us).
Step 7 -- The ISD/DRIVES User Support Team will take the following action within one business day of receiving the signed form:
Create a ServiceHub ticket and add the approved DRIVES access.
Send an email to the person submitting the request and to the user receiving the access informing them that the access has been added.
Part 2 : FAST Central Repository (FCR) Access
Step 8 -- FCR Access is different from DRIVES Lower Environment Access. You must have access to DRIVES Lower Environments prior to receiving access to FCR.
If you have ever requested or had access to FCR, please try to log in through FCR Login Page using your username and password that is used to log in to the network. You may still have access and do not know it.
If you have access, go to Part 3 : The User is Considered an Active DRIVES Tester
If you have never requested access or are unable to log in, go to Step 9.
Step 9 -- Supervisor will need to send an email to the LMS Administrator email, dor_dmv_county_lms@state.co.us, with the following information:
Users full name
Request FCR Access
Step 10 -- LMS Administrator will:
Verify if training is still required
If required, the Tester curriculum will be added to the users LMS transcript for completion
If training has been completed within the last 6 months, the LMS Admin will notify the Supervisor that that training requirement has been completed and will go on to step 11.
Verify if DRIVES Lower Environment Access is active.
If not, the requester will be notified to follow Step 1 of this process.
Submit the request for FCR access.
Step 11 -- The ISD/DRIVES Delivery Team will review the request for FCR access.
Notify the vendor that FCR access has been approved.
The vendor will set up FCR access. You will receive a separate email with your FCR credentials and a link to the FCR login page once the request has been processed.
Part 3 : The User is Considered an Active Tester
Step 12 -- Once you have met all requirements to become a DRIVES Tester:
You agree to actively participate in SQR testing at least every 90 days.
You understand that if you are not participating in SQR testing, the access will be removed.
You agree to keep your DRIVES Lower Environment and FCR Access current by logging in at least every 90 days.
You agree to notify dor_dmv_county_lms@state.co.us if there is a change to your role and you no longer need FCR or DRIVES Lower Environment access.
