Dear St. Albert Families,
I wanted to share with you that Monday, November 13th, is World Kindness Day. With this day approaching, I feel like I have been extra aware of the small kindnesses that occur each day. Simple things like a “good morning,” or an acknowledging smile that we often don’t give a second thought. Even as I started to write this, I received a group message notifying us that a student forgot their backpack and they seemed nervous about it. Immediately, that child was spoken to by administration to ease their worries, and we all made it our mission to make sure they were given grace. Kindness made a huge impact on that child. In life, we tend to focus on the unkind or negative things that happened that day, when actually, there were probably more kind things that happened to us than we realized.
I hope you know that we as a school do our best to make sure your children feel love and kindness everyday. My World Kindness challenge for you and your family is to not only show acts of kindness, but to be aware of the kindness that happens to you and around you.
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” (Colossians 3:12)
Sincerely,
Loren Cataldo
School Counselor
The PTO would like to show our amazing students some appreciation by treating them to Papa John's pizza this Friday, November 10, 2023. It is an early dismissal day so no lunch will be served through the cafeteria but the PTO will serve pizza in each homeroom during their scheduled lunch period. Students will need to bring their own drink. Let's celebrate all of the learning and hard work that has taken place over the semester and start the next semester ready! Way to go Vikings!
Students are welcome to bring a bag lunch if they want more or something other than pizza.

In an effort to teach our students about being accountable for their own belongings as well as to limit the number of visitors to the school during the day and effectively monitor those visitors coming into the school, we have a policy that does NOT allow for student deliveries. Parents, please do not bring items (lunches, homework, coats/clothing, presentations, papers, Chromebooks, etc.) to school to drop off for your child/children. Our main office staff have been instructed not to accept those deliveries. Thank you for your cooperation with these efforts.
A few exceptions: eyeglasses, medication, or lunches when the cafeteria is closed.
Please remember to always keep an eye on the daily forecast, as the temperature is changing and the students begin to wear heavier coats.
Please be mindful of the school-wide policy regarding illness. We ask that your child be fever/vomit/symptom-free for 24 hours before returning to school.
Please help the 8th graders with their stewardship project to send a veteran St. Albert parishioner to Washington D.C. to visit the memorial of the wars they fought in!
There are two ways to donate:
Purchase an American Flag pin from 10/30-11/10 with this order form.
Send your CASH donation with your child(ren) on TOMORROW for the Bake Sale. Items will cost $1. *Please let your child(ren) know if you expect change to come back or if they should donate any change to the project.
