Dear St. Albert Families,
As the end of the school year quickly approaches, Julie Kane and I wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for the warm welcome and support you have extended to us as the new school counselors. Transitioning into a new school after the start of the year can feel overwhelming, but your kindness and hospitality made that transition easy! Throughout this school year, we have had the pleasure of building relationships with your children and witnessing their growth and resilience. It has been a privilege to be a part of their educational journey and to support them in achieving their goals. Thank you for entrusting us with the important task of supporting your child’s social, emotional, and academic well-being. As we look ahead to the new school year, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for all the amazing opportunities that lie ahead! We are truly honored to be a part of the St. Albert community.
Sincerely,
Loren (Cataldo) Corbett and Julie Kane

Prepare your child with academic success for the next school year with Summer Solutions workbooks. Purchase the grade your child is in currently.
Please note that grades 4, 5, and 6 use the Math Standards-Based workbook during the school year. All other classes use the regular math workbook. Standards-based workbooks tend to be text-heavy and may require more explanation. If you want your child to work independently, you might want to consider the original version over the standards-based. Click the link above to order.

The next PTO Viking Gala will take place on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025! Julie Kruer, the gala chair, is recruiting committee members. The committee will meet once before the end of this school year from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, in the youth room above the gym. Joining a PTO committee is a great way to meet other parents and get involved. The gala is a very fun event that helps fund our PTO for two years at a time and fund special projects that better our school, but it requires many volunteers to make it a success! Please click the link below to read more about the committee volunteer opportunities and time commitment and to express your interest. Email any questions to gala@stalbert.org or call Julie Kruer at 502-544-4970.

Please contact the volleyball coordinator, Cindy Lindle by email at cchoinka@yahoo.com, if you will miss the tryout days and need a make-up tryout.
Also, please read the policy below that is found in the SAAM handbook regarding quitting a team...
When an athlete quits a team, it leaves the team short on players and affects the morale of the team. It is not fair to the remaining team members and coaches. In an effort to dissuade quitting, any athlete that quits a team from the time team rosters are posted after tryouts, or before the 2nd practice for non-tryout sports to the end of the season will receive a suspension of eligibility and will not be allowed to participate in any sport within the next two (2) seasons (see pages 8-9) and will not be eligible to participate in the same sport the following year.
The suspension of eligibility can be appealed by the athlete’s parent(s)/guardian(s) with the SAAM Executive Committee. The parent(s)/guardian(s) must contact the SAAM Grievance Chair (see contact list on website) and request an appeal. The SAAM Committee will vote to uphold the suspension or restore eligibility.
This policy does not apply to Kindergarten, 1st grade or 2nd grade sports.
Please read the Parish Post to stay up to date with events and opportunities.
