Dear Saint Albert Families,
As we walk together through this season of Lent, our Saint Albert students grades 2-8 will pause next week and go to confession. This sacrament allows us to reflect on the boundless grace and forgiveness that God extends to each of us. Lent invites us to turn inward, examining our hearts and actions, acknowledging where we have fallen short, and seeking reconciliation with both God and each other.
As parents and teachers at Saint Albert the Great, we have the profound privilege of nurturing our children's faith and understanding of God's love. Let us use this Lenten season as an opportunity to model grace and forgiveness in our homes, in our school, and communities. Together, let us teach our children the importance of humility, repentance, and reconciliation, showing them that true strength lies in the ability to forgive and be forgiven.
Forgiveness is not always easy. It requires vulnerability, empathy, and a willingness to let go of hurt and resentment. Yet, it is through forgiveness that we experience true freedom and healing. As we extend forgiveness to each other, we open our hearts to receive the fullness of God's grace and mercy.
During this Lenten journey, let’s embrace the message of grace and forgiveness with open hearts and minds. Let’s support one another in our efforts to grow closer to God and live out the Gospel message in our daily lives.
May God's abundant grace and forgiveness fill our hearts and homes this Lenten season and always.
Saint Albert the Great, Pray for us!
