YEAR FIVE TWEETS FOR CLIMATE CHANGE
Year Five has been writing some fabulous tweets. Year Five teacher, Mrs Tomlinson, explains: "In Year Five we are learning about persuasive writing which we linked to our Geography topic on climate change this term. After being educated by the David Attenborough documentary, A Life on Our Planet, further thought-provoking class discussions and reading about some amazing earth heroes, the children were able to create their own Tweet for climate change! We have amazing environmentalists in our year group, who are clearly showing they care for our world."

ACTING HONOURS FOR FLORA
Year Six's Flora is triumphantly celebrating her first ever LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) grade, receiving a distinction in her acting exam.
Flora worked hard over twelve weeks with Elizabeth Samuels Drama School to prepare for her exam. She had to learn a short monologue and speak to the examiner about her character's thoughts and feelings. No mean feat! Well done Flora!!
If you would like your child to take part in LAMDA, classes will be beginning for the first time at St Stephen’s in January 2021.
There are a huge range of exams on offer, including: acting, public speaking, communication, mime, verse and prose, musical theatre and reading for performance.
30 minute lessons are available for individual students or as a small group on Wednesdays & Fridays during the school day. Children from the same year bubble will take part in our group classes to avoid mixing.

Our MTech lunchtime club provides specialist music technology and creative composition classes. Mtech regular, Gaga, who has bagged a gold award, says: "I like Mtech because it stretches your mind and develops your musical skills. The teachers are very nice and help you every step of the way. It is a club that uses Garage Band to make music for videos. It is very high tech and is improving my knowledge of music." If you are interested in this club, please contact Mrs Foot, our Clubs Administrator, and you could go for gold, like Gaga.
