Our staggered playtimes are working well, children get to play in one of our cordoned off play areas, ensuring they stay with their own class. These are rotated, so everyone gets a go on the climbing frames and a stint on the football pitch. Fair enough!
Our new Year Six is rising to the challenge of being at the top of the school with much aplomb. The children are immersing themselves in all things windmill, inspired by their current text - 'The boy who harnessed the wind.' Here you see the young scientists starting their windmill journey. The plan is to get their windmills to turn with a spot of electricity, but they are still figuring it out. We'll keep you posted - it's safe to say, we've every confidence they'll get those windmills spinning in no time! Not much beats this lot!
Electricity is on the on the agenda for Year Six this term. They are currently (did you see what we did there?) making their own circuits. Armed with a battery, a bulb or two and some wires, they lit up the classroom. Adding an extra bulb and a switch altered things slightly, but it didn't dim their enthusiasm ...
