Christmas at St Stephen’s Church

As Advent begins, we have produced 1-minute videos for families to watch which tell part of the Advent story with a little challenge! You might like to tune in over breakfast HERE. They will premiere at 6am every morning.
Join in with a nationwide initiative! As a church we are contributing to a campaign called Love Christmas. Thousands of churches all around the country are uniting to help spread the power of love, hope and kindness to people struggling with Covid and other social challenges this winter. The aim is to deliver 1 million Christmas bags/boxes of gifts to help people know that we stand with them and for them during this difficult season. If you would like to contribute to this locally, you can head to our website and sign up or if it’s easier, you can drop off any of the following items at the church office on Crown Road between the hours of 9am-5pm. The deadline is 9 Dec.
• Tubs of chocolates (Heroes, Celebrations etc)
• Luxury boxes of chocolate/biscuits
• Lovely shower gel sets for mums, dads, teens
• Chocolate selection boxes

The Winter Sparkle initiative is the brain child of a group of neighbours in Whitton who came up with the idea of illuminating their houses with fairy lights to brighten up their neighbourhood and put a smile on their neighbours faces as the evenings began to get darker.

The planning application has gone in for the pavilion @ moormead and needs as much public support as possible. It would be great for the school to have toilets there and in general for the local community! Support can be registered per individual not household.
