Informative Writing Activity ( Description of an Animal):
Your child can write a description about an animal. The animal can be real of from a story they have read. They can even go online and learn about an animal. Below is a great link to to a little research on an animal.
Have your child write two to three detailed sentences telling what they learned about their animal.

Suggested Activity: Cup Crash
Take out 6 disposable plastic cups. Write on sight word on each of the cups. Have your child read the sight word on the cup. If they get it correct, they can stack the sight word on a table or counter. Then they can throw a ball at the tower of word cups to knock it down. Continue to practice saying the sight words until they have a tower of six words. Keep mixing up the words so they are not always in the same order.
