WRITING:. Opinion Writing
What is your Opinion about ice cream or cake? Would you rather have ice cream or cake? At the top of a piece of paper write what you would rather have (I would rather have ice cream for a treat. /I would rather have cake for a treat.) Write three sentences telling me your reasons why you would want that treat. At the bottom of the page, complete the statement "_________ is a better treat for me."
Make sure you use your three important things in your sentence (Capital letter at beginning of the sentence, finger spaces between words, and an ending mark at the end of each sentence.)

Write the sight words on an index card. Tape one index card to the entrance of each room. Have your child (and family members) read the word before entering the room.
