WRITING
Informative Writing Activity:
Remind our child that writers can make their writing more interesting and give more information by using sense words, or adjectives. Adjectives tell how something looks, feels, smells, or tastes. Have your child think of something they have seen an animal do. Have them draw what happened on a sheet of paper. Have your child tell you about their picture and ask them questions using adjectives as they answer. Have your child complete the sentence frame : The animal is_______. Challenge them to write 2 or 3 sentences using this frame.
of, how, make, some, why, animal
Suggested Activity: Tic Tac Toe
Play tic tac toe (using two sight words instead of x and o).
