WRITING
Informative Writing Activity:
Remind our child that when people write sentences that describe, they tell how something looks, sounds, smells, tastes, and feels. Have your child think about how the weather is today. They can write sentences that tell about the weather outside their window. Have your child brainstorm ideas about how the weather looks, smells, tastes, and feels outside. (You can prompt them with questions such as: How does the sky look? How does the wind feel? How does the air smell? Have your child write a few descriptive sentences.

Suggested Activity: Invisible Words
Write your child's sight words on a piece of paper using a white crayon. Give them some watercolors and have them paint over the paper to reveal the sight words. Have them read the sight words to you. They will want to probably play along too, so have them write the sight words on a piece of paper with a white crayon. Allow them to show a family member how to reveal the sight word.
