Informative Writing Activity ( Thank you Note):
Remind your child that people write letters to tell someone about something that happened or to share a feeling. A thank-you note is a letter to someone thanking them for something. brainstorm a list of people who work in a school, such as a librarian, janitor, or cafeteria worker. Help your child decide on a person to thank, and then discuss what to that that person for. Guide them in writing the thank you note. They should record the date, greeting (Dear Mrs. or Dear Mr. or Dear Sir... or Dear Mam,), and sentences telling the person what they are thanking them for. Finally, they should have an ending name (From, or Love, )

Suggested Activity: High Five Sight Word
Have your child write their 6 sight words on small pieces of paper and tape them near a door that you frequently go through (Door that you use to leave the house or their bedroom door). Every time the go through the door, have them high five the word and read the word out loud. Frequently mix up the words so they do not memorize them in the order taped.
