The 7 Sacred Teachings

At Splash Early Learning Centre each learning environment at our centre is based off of the 7 Sacred Teachings of Indigenous Culture. We follow these teachings at all of our centres.

On the Infant Floor we have:

Bears, who have the gift of COURAGE

Beavers, who have the gift of WISDOM

Turtles, who have the gift of TRUTH

On the Pre-School Floor we have:

Wolves, who have the gift of HUMILITY

Eagles, who have the gift of LOVE

Buffalo, who have the gift of RESPECT

Sabe, who have the gift of HONESTY

Timber Wolves & Bald Eagles:

Our Urban Learning Centre engaged the children in a group conversation and introduced a voting system. The educators displayed all seven teachings for the children to see, and each child had the opportunity to cast one vote.

Once the voting was completed, Timber Wolf and Bald Eagle were the most voted teachings.
