Lilac Flower Harvesting
July is coming in hot! Bears having fun in the fun and looking forward for what’s to come.
Field trip to the forks, urban forest school, coffee shop visits, longer time outside, small mercies wednedays and so much more!
June was fast and busy. We said bye to some friends and hello to new friends!
From picking flowers to splashing in the Splash pad, bears are getting more and more comfortable outside. Using sticks to drum rocks as ice cream and leaves to paint. We’re excited for urban for school and have been preparing by walking in the rain longer walks and bringing curriculum outside. Finding worms in the yard, geese at the park there’s no shortage of hands-on learning about our world.
Textures like rocks, leaves, sand, mud, water, sensory overload! The bears love every minute!
Nathan playing guitar, the children, love singing, dancing, and everything in between. The pride parade was cheerful and colourful with infants and preschool. We walked up and down Osborne with decorative floats and wagons, grading people in the community and cars driving by saying hi.
Baking, painting, more baking oh my! As our act of kindness we baked and handed out rainbow muffins to guests at Oak Table. Every day is an opportunity to show kindness and every month Bear Den exemplifies that kindness with our community, our school, and others by baking or drawing cards.

A friendly reminder for families:
To keep our centre safe, we encourage everyone to wash their hands every time we enter our environment.
Please make sure your child has summer outdoor gear (sunhat, sunscreen, extra clothes, muddy buddy) so they can fully enjoy our outdoor activities.
Bring home water bottles and lunch containers every Friday for a good wash, and return them on Monday.
Label all belongings—clothes, shoes, hats, lunchboxes—to help us keep everything organized and in the right cubbies.
Make sure that you are emailing heather@splashcares.ca - Preschool Team Lead or giving the centre a call 204-560-5601 if your child is going to be away or late from their environments.
