Goodbye September and Welcome October! As we say hello to cooler seasons, we are excited to see all the leaves fall and the spooky Halloween decorations. 

Last month, we said goodbye to our Turtle’s Myra, Georgia, and Austin. Best of luck to Myra in Sabe Forest and in Georgia and Austin’s next centre! We will miss them so much!! We also welcomed our new friend Malcolm. We are excited to make lots of fun memories with him this upcoming year!

Our Turtles were very intrigued with all the fun provocations this month. One provocation they enjoyed was watering plants and using their fine motor skills to spray the flower we bought from Safeway! 

Last month, we had picnics and taste tested some cake snacks and juice given to us by Austin. We enjoyed them so much and thanks again for the fun snacks 🩷 We also baked banana bread for our goodbye party for Georgia. The Turtles enjoyed mixing and learning new words like “melt” and “whisk.” Through this process, the Turtles learned how to take turns mixing and using their fine and gross motor skills to mix the batter. 

In October, we look forward to using the leaves and sticks on the ground for our art projects and science experiments such as “Oobleck.” We plan to decorate our room for the season with art projects and decorations for Halloween as well! This month, we hope to go trick-or-treating in the Osborne Village and visit local shops. 

As we enter the “ber” months, we are kindly reminding families to ensure your child has warm clothes, sweaters, jackets, a hat, and shoes/boots.
