Goodbye November and hello December!

The Turtles are excited to sing along to Christmas carols we are looking forward to seeing the snow fall and the upcoming holidays and fun events this month.

We welcomed Zoe and Hudson to Turtle Pond! We're excited to see our environment change and grow, and the Turtles were thrilled to meet their new friends. We look forward to making many new and fun memories with them!

We celebrated our educator Diane’s birthday in November, along with our other educators: Taylor, Tasha, and our supervisors Heather and Jasmin last month. Diane brought clear balloons and it sparked the Turtles’ curiosity as it was a different texture! Happy birthday once again to our educators and we hope you had the best day! Cheers to more learning experiences and birthday cakes!!

Since the snow has still yet to arrive, we brought out ice and used it for sensory water play. We experimented by adding orange slices, cups, spoons, and funnels.  The Turtles had fun mixing and scooping the ice! We enjoyed engaging in water play this month, and got creative by adding food colouring, soap, and cars into our activity to promote fine and gross motor skills to touch and mix the ice/colours, and promote discovery.

The Turtles also made their own paintings with different coloured ice. We learned the names of colours and the infants enjoyed experimenting with mixing colours and learning how fast ice melts!
