Goodbye December — thank you for the wonderful memories. Hello January, a month of new beginnings and fresh starts.

We would like to warmly welcome Zara to the Beavers family. We are so happy to have you with us!

December was a busy and wonderful month. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Jordan Lee for joining us at our Holiday Luncheon. It was a pleasure to share such a lovely time together with great food and wonderful company.

We also held Henry’s Stepping Stone Ceremony, wishing him continued learning and growth in Sabe Forest. In addition, we celebrated Margot’s birthday and farewell. We wish her all the very best as she begins her new journey!

Throughout the month, the children participated in many engaging activities. We enjoyed a Christmas tree decorating activity, where the children taped different colours of paper onto the tree. This activity supported the development of hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. We also set up an indoor sand play experience using sensory trays. The children explored the sand with cups, shovels, and wooden bowls, and everyone had an amazing time.

Looking ahead to January, we will focus on cozy indoor play, winter-themed sensory experiences, music and movement, and early literacy activities. Infants will continue to explore winter-inspired sensory materials such as soft blankets and scarves, textured balls, and cool and warm items to support tactile exploration. We will also introduce simple winter-themed visuals, songs, and books to encourage early language development and engagement.

Music and Movement remain an important part of our daily routine. Beavers enjoy listening to familiar songs (such as The Wheels on the Bus), gentle action rhymes, and moving their bodies through rolling, crawling, and supported standing, helping to strengthen their gross motor skills.

We wish all our Beavers families a safe and wonderful holiday season, and a happy, healthy New Year.
