Hello April 🌸

A new month, a fresh start, and endless possibilities. this month bring sunshine, happiness, and beautiful moments your way. 🌷✨

March was filled with many new and exciting experiences! The Beavers are happy to welcome our new Educator, Elliot, to the environment. We also extend a warm welcome to Tedros, Zayn, and Llewyn.

We will be focusing on building our Beavers’ shape and colour recognition. We will spend time outdoors doing scavenger hunts on our community walks, searching for shapes and colours all around us.

For outdoor activities, we continued our routine of going outside daily. At the park and in the yard, we went sledding, drew in the snow, read books together, blew bubbles, and shared many joyful moments filled with laughter.

For indoor exploration, we carried out a volcano eruption experiment, enjoyed water play, made cupcakes together, and took on tunnel crawling

The Beavers will also be participating in obstacle courses to help build their physical strength and confidence.

We will continue exploring our senses through a variety of sensory experiences. Beaver Dam will be having a “Mess Day,” where we encourage families to send children in clothes they can get messy in. We will be painting with our feet, enjoying water play, and participating in other fun, messy activities—so please dress your child appropriately.

Spring has sprung, and so have our Beavers! We will be spending more time outside as the weather gets warmer. Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately so they can fully participate in outdoor activities.

On St. Patrick’s Day, we created shamrock decorations and added each child’s photo to them, they looked absolutely adorable.

March was filled with many Stepping Stones ceremonies. We wish Everly all the best on her new journey at our Splash Enrichment Centre. We celebrated Sammi transitioning to the Eagles Nest and hope he has a lot fun gettingg to know new friends. Maren had a wonderful send off as she transitioned to the Sabe environment. We are so excited for all of them and this new chapter for them. We will miss them all so very much!

We celebrated Holi, the “Festival of Colours.” Our environment came together in Buffalo Plain to throw and splash coloured powder, marking the end of winter and the beginning of spring. The children had so much fun sharing colours and enjoying this special time together.

The Beavers also had a blast celebrating Purim with noisemakers, hamantashen, costumes, and a fun Infant Parade!
