You will need to have a way to take pictures. To use personal phones you have to make picture taking homework, get an excemption, use ipads, or buy camers. All these options come with pros and cons.
Students will need to have the freedom to roam to take pictures, but consider how you will keep them from wandering off and getting into trouble or bothering other classes.
It is nice to have access to chromebooks or computers so that students can edit their photos.
