SPRINGFIELD PLATTEVIEW COMMUNITY SCHOOLS 2023-2024

OCTOBER 2023

Dear Springfield Platteview Community,

Have you noticed that Springfield Platteview Community Schools as a whole is thriving? Why? Because of the support and compassion we receive from our school community each day. You would be amazed at how many great things we hear about already this year about our staff, students, and community members. Thank you for being a community we are proud to call home. Below you will find several things happening around our schools. Of course, there is always more than we can write about here. Be sure to read your students' school newsletter as well. Thank you for taking the time to catch up with us.

“Compassion is the greatest form of love humans have to offer. I have this theory that if one person can go out of their way to show compassion, then it will start a chain reaction of the same. People will never know how far a little kindness can go.” - Rachel Joy Scott, 1892-1999

Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the fall weather. Hopefully, it's not too cold!

Sincerely,

Springfield Platteview

A New Tradition at Springfield Elementary

A painting at the end of the sixth-grade hallway is a new tradition at Springfield Elementary for sixth graders and staff who are moving on to new adventures. Five years of signatures will be on one canvas. The frames were built by Platteview High School's Dan Craney. Mr. Craney built three frames for a canvas to be stretched on. This is a picture from last year's signing. Come on over and check it out!

Springfield Platteview Community Schools aim to recruit, develop, and retain the highest quality staff members to join our school district. Keep searching the hashtag to see all of the great pics! Staff members that share the pics are entered into a giveaway for two free tickets to the SPCS Education Foundation Hats Off Auction Fundraiser http://bidpal.net/hatsoff2you! These tickets were donated by a district administrator!
