"Just here to say you're Spud-Tacular!"

Have you heard of the positive potato? It's given as a gift to spread positivity and remind you how wonderful you are. ANNOUNCEMENTS

SPCS Receives Excellent Classification from the NDE

As a district, Springfield Platteview Community Schools received an excellent ranking from the Nebraska Department of Education! Each building in our district received a classification of great or excellent! This is truly a remarkable accomplishment and a testament to our entire staff's hard work, dedication, and commitment. We are proud to be a part of such an outstanding team and a community of people who care.

Many factors make up this classification. Some characteristics include leadership, educational opportunities and access, transitions, positive partnerships, relationships and success, educator effectiveness, student achievement and growth, and postsecondary, career, and civic readiness. Other factors include attendance, assessment participation, and level of proficiency. The guidelines also look at grade spans, individual buildings, and subgroups.

As we look forward, we will continue to build on our success and maintain this achievement. We are excited about what the future looks like!

***More specific information will be shared in our district newsletter and in the annual report after the first of the year.

Students were asked what field they were interested in and had to act like they were interviewing for that position and why. Staff from outside of PHS and community members did the interviews and voted on who they would have "hired" if the job was available.
