SPRINGFIELD PLATTEVIEW COMMUNITY SCHOOLS 2022-2023

March 2023

It's officially spring! Where exactly did March go? This time of year seems to fly by in the education world. Before we know it, our seniors will be handing out roses to their families during commencement on May 21 in the Platteview High School main gym. Kindergartners will be celebrating their first full year as elementary school students! What an exciting time. We are proud of our community's accomplishments, as you will see in some of the information below. A lot has happened in March, and it certainly will continue to go zoom by. Be sure to follow all your school calendars and newsletters closely in the next few months. April is going to be a busy and memorable month. Thank you for your ongoing support of our schools. If you have any questions or something important to share, contact Nichole at SPCScomm@spcsne.org.  And ---> Be sure to check out the 21-22 SPCS annual report on our district website.

Strategic Planning for SPCS is Underway!

Thank you to those that came together on March 27 and 28 for several hours of planning for the next extension of the Springfield Platteview Community School's District Strategic Plan. The group of teachers, directors, parents, administrators, and board members discussed strengths, opportunities, and threats as it relates to the next 3-5 years (and beyond). At the end of the two sessions, the group came up with 4-6 goals to present to the board of education on April 10, 2023. The goals focus on academics, growth, mental health, safety, and other important factors. It was an informative and successful gathering to collaborate in the creation and execution of the next extension of the plan. Thank you for sharing your talents, ideas, and passions to make this process a success.

Thank you to Dr.  Larry Dlugosh for facilitating and leading our group during this process! We are excited about the next steps.

GOOD VIBES EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH goes to...
