Social Dancing for Beginners
Course Title: Social Dancing for Beginners
Course Description: Covering a series of dance styles, attendees can learn to lead and/or follow over the course of the classes. Depending on the number of attendees, folks may be asked to trade their dancing role to have an even number. While this will really only cover the basics of any of the styles, social dancing is aimed at improvisation, goofing off with your dance partner, and generally just having fun. Because they'll be asked to change partners regularly during classes, attendees can also expect to get to know new people around campus!
Classes will be structured such that there is time to practice everything from that hour at the end. Due to the limited time of one hour, come with some energy and be ready to start right at 4! Each day is a different style or two, though dance terms and skills will be gained throughout and returned to.
